DEVELOPMENT

We build housing and commercial space that focuses on keeping and generating wealth in the communities in which we work. Developments bring well known benefits and impact to neighborhoods but they also can have less visible negative consequence, displacing current residents and hollowing out neighborhoods of connection and community.

We seek development opportunities that allow us to create housing centered around affordable home ownership. We work with local organizations, trades, unions and investors to increase the opportunities for residents to gain skills, find employment and prepare for becoming home owners.

We seek WME do be partners in all phases of a development from design and permitting to construction and the eventual sales and rental of the housing stock and commercial space we create. Simultaneously, we work to engage with youth committing violence and offer them a way to participate in creating a safe and sustainable community.

My City at Peace and The HYM Investment Group

Born out of a unique partnership between Reverend Jeffrey Brown of My City at Peace (“MyCAP”) and Thomas O’Brien of The HYM Investment Group (“HYM), our development concept will maximize the potential of P3 and serve the needs and desires of the Roxbury community by creating deeply affordable homeownership and rental opportunities, good-paying jobs with viable long-term career tracks, meaningful equity participation in the development process by people of color and women, and beautifully-designed new spaces to live, work, or play.
